Z1 test pipes

I'm sure they work well. They only offer non-resonated ones though, so keep that in mind.

i don't mind that... i don't have emissions where i live. i was looking at ARK and they go four $600+ and then you got Z1 for $270. was mostly wondering if anyone has them on their car that can vouch for them.

Oh btw, the answer to your sig is 6.

Resonated has nothing to do with emissions, I think he was talking about raspyness

A test pipe is a test pipe. You shouldn't have any issues with them, however as said above your definitely going to get a good amount of rasp.

ViCiouS 12-02-2014 12:54 PM

I have next to no rasp with my Z1 test pipes. Stillen headers and FI cbe.

What resonator option on the CBE? Rasp is definitely subjective however most if not all non-res TP setups iv heard at least have some rasp.

njobe89 12-02-2014 01:13 PM

blah the raspyness definitely doesn't sound sexy at all, based on the videos i just looked at :(

Stick to RTPs, or HFCs to avoid most of it.

only reason i was looking into TP's was because i was told you can squeeze more power out of them, but i guess the rasp is the sacrifice you would have to make.

RTPs will not make any less power then a standard set of TPs. Hope you are happy with whatever you end up going with.

No problem, any time :tiphat:

FI TP with stock exhaust was too raspy for me. I still wanted a stock look, so I bolted up a Nismo exhaust. Great sound, best power gain for the $.

So when you went to the Nismo exhaust it eliminated the rasp?

Taylortoons 12-03-2014 06:59 AM

Cold starts around 2300 rpm it can hit a tinny note, so I throttle around it. I was looking for a little more power and a good tone without being too loud and obnoxious. I prefer a good balance between the howl of the motor and the roar of the exhaust.
