make sure and use something harder than foam tape or anything soft, as the rubbing will penetrate the AC line and damage it. I saw it happen on a G35. A hard plastic tubing would be best...

same thing happen to me in about 10000 miles, i took it to nissan and they told me the same thing the it wasnt coverd because it was a aftermarket part, so i took it back to the performance shop that did it and they fixed the problem and made sure it wasnt going to happen again, the pipe that ruptured was on the driver side just forward where they had to cut for installation, you will see two little pipes the top one is the one that ruptured.

FYI I lost my A/C as well today because of this. Looks like over the last 13000 miles the intake has been eating into the line. Just to reiterate for everyone to check their intake and make sure it isn't resting on the refrigerant lines.

edit: ill get some pictures taken so you guys can see exactly what not to do.

I can't blame Stillen, if they put a discribed direction in the install manual, then anyone should be altert to this instruction. It seems like 1300 miles is the check-in period, rap those lines and then check them when the air filters need cleaning and re-oiling.

look like im a victim of this as well

took the car in yesterday and dealer charge me $170 for diagnostics which they siad was loose line and low freon

tested the car and no cold air is still coming back

rechecked it for free but turns out stillen intake was rubbing and somhow the rubber covering the ac line came loose(it was still there but exposed the line)

freakin dealer said since the intake cause the dameged(which i gues it did) they wanted $200 for the part and $600.00 in labor......hahah yeah right

went home took out the bumber and intake
the line didnt have a hole but it did "thin" the tubing and i can hear air/freon leaking

i ghetto fixed it for now using plumbers tape and then electrical tape and then putting back the rubber cover

dunno how long it will last....anyone know any lasting effects if i let it go and not get it fixed??
i know i wont have AC but i can live for that for now
