Default Just Muffler and tips?

Ive seen muffler deletes and full cat-back systems. I just want a new muffler and new tips. I dont want to go to a muffler shop and have them weld on some joke muffler and tips. Any recommendations of what I should ask for or be looking for on the internet and in the shops I visit. I cant seem to find anyone who just put a new muffler and tips on. Cant afford 1,000 for a new exhaust, but I want improved idle sound and takeoff sound and I want a better looking muffler and tips. Thanks.

I've yet to see any axle backs, so anything you do will be custom

If you're going to invest time and even a modest amount of money into it, might as well be something that improves performance at the same time and was designed as a system. If you can't afford it today, no biggie - just wait till you can and put on something worthwhile, the first time

Agree! You have a nice car, make her breath with good exhaust. I used to have a custom one with my car, and I've never been happy with it; rusts, leaks name it.

Yeah, and it's nearly 1K on it's own.

Might as well save up and get the full catback.

I had one built by vivid racing in march.... they were going to mass produce... check their website... i later sold it to some dude on this board, when I upgraded to a full exhaust... you might be able to find him using the search feature above... he was going to sell it b/c he was in financial trouble... g/l

The Cat Backs available for the Z are definitely not cheap.

I think I am going to get Berks Hi Flow Cats and just have them bolted to the stock exhaust. For $500 + Installation it will definitely make the car sound better then stock (Louder, and throaty) and is probably the best bang for buck performance mod for the 370z. Just cant beat $500.00 and some change for any where between 10 - 19whp.

fujimoto or fujimura or watever it's called is an axle-back.

im thinking about getting one too down the road. it sounds good
and makes like 5-7whp gain. not sure how much backpressure it
looses though... which is preventing me from pulling the trigger.

JPY about 70,000 so $750-800 or so shipped to the US.
