just thought i would throw out that I'm at 371 and tried a couple 2.5" exhausts and they all made the same power so really almost anything will work, if you want light go single ss or ti.

Just get AAM's midpipe and short tails, carry on a nice convo until 3.5k, then put your headphones on and scare the **** out of people when you floor it lol.
Seriously tho I've heard good things about AAM's true dual exhaust and I'm sure it's lighter than stock. But from what everyone says FI is the way to go, I might make the switch later on

yes, ART Pipes are test pipes but it means Advance Resonated Test Pipes....the reason most ppl go test pipes first, as a few ppl have mentioned it before, the CAT's are the most restrictive part of the exhaust.

What I like about the ART Pipes, one of the test pipes with the highest gains, at low rpms 3k or below it sounds almost like stock which is great for dd but once you push it pas 3.5k it sounds freaking great!! I just need the exhaust to complete it lol

Sounds like something to look into. Thanks!

I have a little drone at about 3k and a tad too much cabin noise that I would like. I read in another thread about putting some hush mat in the hatch floor and doors and they say it quiets it considerably. I'm pretty happy with my exhaust and how it sounds overall outside of the car. It's the best 500 bucks I spent on my Z so far.

The only downside to getting a Fast Intentions exhaust is the wait time. I ordered mine back at the beginning of September, and it should be getting here sometime mid-November.

hushmat is great stuff... definitely helped to reduce the ambient noise. stock tires are apparently very 'noisy' when they are wearing down as well. i'll be the judge of that next spring when i drop re11 or pss's...

I'm going to beat a dead horse and say FI 18" resonators if you are so up-tight about the "loudness"

It takes care of 66% of the criteria you have: gains (probably the most out of all these systems) and loudness (I can barely hear it on my friend's setup with HFCs, but my signature might have more to do with my hearing problem).

I would have to go with the F.I as well. I have the CF 12" resonated version and I love how it sounds, and I was VERY picky about sound and gains etc.

I actually can't wait to pair it up with some FI HFC in the near future. And as far as carrying conversations go.. I can easily carry a convo in my car with my exhausts current set up. The only time I have issues are when the windows are down and the music is blasting. Hope this helps.

#1041 Fast Intentions 18" res SS TDX installed yesterday. I was hoping for a big difference (which constantly had me thinking about going 12" or non-res but I wanted to maintain some cabin integrity) and I got it. Awesome. Consider the wait a layaway plan, and you will not regret your purchase.

I'm running F.I. TDX exhaust w/ 18" resonatiors paired to a set of F.I. ceramic coated LTH's:

IMO its the perfect sound; it screams at WOT but isn't stupid loud when cruizing around. Build quality, fitment, performance and look are all top notch too
