Aam short tails?
I'm thinking about buying short tails but I am worried about how loud it is going to sound in person. I don't mind the noise just don't want to get a ticket. If you have used the short tails please respond if you have gotten a ticket because of them.

Some people say it's loud, imho they're not nearly as loud enough to get a ticket. And it's not ugly fart can ghetto civic sounding loud lol.
I love mine. Deep low growl while cruising the city, then opens up very aggressive when you get on it. Minimum drone but controllable, I don't even notice it and you won't have it so long as you're in the right gear. I always get compliments on the way the car sounds. The first time I started it after install I'm not gonna lie I was like Holy Sh1t?! Haha after a few days I got used to it, sounds like a sports car should. I plan on pairing them with AAM's midpipe soon to complete the set up. |
I've gotten pulled over for tints and no front plate many times haha but no one has ever said my car is too loud or obnoxious.

Only if there was a section on this forum for exhaust questions.

Definitely go for the short tails, or have custom work done. I debated for months whether or not I wanted them. I was afraid of it being way too loud. I decided on going to a local shop and having them custom make my own "short tails". It was much cheaper and the sound is essentially the same. The first day I had the work done, I was like WOW this thing is really loud. After awhile though, you realize its not all that loud. It does sound like a sports car should. It is fairly loud when you get on it (sounds amazing, have had many compliments) but if you are driving "normal" or cruising the interstate, you will barely notice it is even there.
