Default Ark DT-S Exhaust

Should be receiving my Ark DT-S exhaust soon! Pretty stoked! Can't wait to hear it. I will have pics and sound clips up later this week. Almost went with the fast intentions exhaust, but last minute decided to go with the ark. Tough decision but a lot of people said the clearance was better and I'm thinking about lowering my z. I like the look of the ark with the burnt tips a lot too so that was the plus side. Although, the fast intentions exhaust is pretty sweet and puts up great numbers. Anyways, I will give an update later in the week when I receive and install the exhaust! Thanks!

Recieved the exhaust yesterday, and it looks beautiful! All the welds look perfect. This exhaust really shows the craftsmanship of Ark. I have installed it, however, I am making a few minor adjustments to the tips and such. The note of this exhaust is absolutely gorgeous. It's deep and a significant amount louder than stock without being annoying. It fits very nicely and snug and does not hang low. You can feel that the car is more responsive. Overall, I think this exhaust was a perfect buy! I will post pictures probably by Friday or Saturday. Stay tuned. (P.s. I will post a video, but videos do not do this exhaust justice. It's so amazing in person!)

Do you plan on upgrading to HFCs or TPs? I thought the exhaust was a tad bit on the quiet side when paired with the oem cats.

I'm looking at either the Ark DT-S or GRiP. Is there an advantage of one over the other? I like the look of the GRiP and appears more owners installed the GRiP vice the DT-S. Plus, the DT-S is a bit more expensive.

Ark Grip is the louder of the two. I have both, currently running the DT-S so I can stop scraping the cans on my Grip. I agree with OP, the sound is absolutely perfect, sporty and classy without looking like you're trying hard for attention.

DT-S came out later, hence less instaled. It's also "supposed" to be louder. It doesn't have the resonators on the muffler.

My Grip was loud and it rumbles when I'm cruising along a quiet neighbor street, sometimes setting off people's car alarms lol

After putting my DT-S the first thing I notice was the signifcant drop in volume, it's less rumbly and some people even said it sounds different too, but still very good to my ears.

I think your SC may have something to do with it being louder. Wish I can hear your car in person.

I plan on putting on HFC's, for emissions purposes rather than test pipes. Plus I wouldn't mind enhancing the volume a little bit. The advantage of the DTS over the Grip is that the DTS sits higher to avoid scraping. I have heard the grip in person as well and I think it sounds similar in volume, but the note of te DTS seems a little deeper.

37zeroZ it is more expensive but IMO it's honestly worth it rather than having it scrape.

Well, I didn't have this exhaust, it was the Tanabe. I think the DTS will have more volume. And yes, those SC's and LTH's made things louder and IMO, so much better. But, I don't have that car any more.
