As per aszyd, the washers should go at the muffler inlets, not the y-pipe. That said, I do not recommend the washer mod as it will blow hot gasses at the rear wheel speed sensors wiring. I tried it for a short period, liked the sound, then had some tees fabricated with orifice plates to regulate the sound and curved exhaust tips to direct the hot gasses toward the ground. Redneck Engineering at it's finest.
![]() WARNING: Putting holes in the exhaust system can allow exhaust gasses into the cabin. With a properly tuned/maintained modern engine and catalytic converter, that shouldn't be a problem (but it could be). If your engine is running rich and/or you have test tubes, it could be deadly.

LOL
I got a Z33 and it's been riced to shlt since dropping heavily into the 10k range! I mean they're ricers who own exotics, but poor ricers are the ones that do the cheap mods! Doesn't mean to jump ship, you'll just be doing a lot of jumping throughout life. If you like the platform drive and own it with pride!

Been quite a few "washer mod" threads this year. We've definitely hit the quota and then some.
I would seriously consider going w/ short tails, if sound is what you're after. You can get them custom made from some exhaust shop for $150 - $200. Or save up and do it the right way. Your choice.
