Stillen Gen 3 distance to empty issue

Installed the Stillen Gen 3 CAI yesterday. One thing I noticed is the trip computer can't seem to calculate DTE correctly. For example, I filled the tank up. DTE said 354 miles. Drove it .5 miles and the DTE dropped a couple miles. Drove it some more and it dropped further at a rate it shouldn't drop. The gas gauge didn't drop at all (I didn't drive far enough for it to drop). Basically, I drove 20 miles and watched the DTE by 50 miles. At the current rate, the DTE will show --- when there is half a tank left. Anyone else notice this?

The DTE from me understanding is a estimate that changes depending on your driving.

I filled up yesterday 375 DTE after a little bit of highway driving DTE was 418 I just have drop ins. It's always done this it usually goes up when you start doing highway driving. Decrease in city driving.

It isn't 100% accurate the dots are more accurate.

Edit: just saw --- at half a tank that is weird disregard my post.

I had something similar happen when disconnecting the battery for an extended period of time.
Let it get to 1/4 tank on the dots filler back up and you shod be good to go :driving:

The computer is most likely adjusting to the combination of more airflow + the ECU reset. Give it a hundred miles or so and everything should be back into spec.

A good example that I can give. I got my car tuned and on the drive back home, the car threw lean and rich codes on either side of the engine. I cleared the codes at home and they have not returned since. The ECU has adjusted to the new AFR targets.
