HFC's- Choices
I have been poking around looking for HFC's Yes I know everyone is going to say FI and RHFC's but want to see other options. Berks are OUT, Long story short installed them on my 08 and car was stuck at the dealer for 6 months would'nt drive. So was looking at Kinetex, and Motiv Concepts HFC's. Anyone have anything on these or another set

I'd also like to know why you think the Berks were the issue. I ran a set for 35k before the turbo with absolutely no issues. |

I had berks installed on my 08 G35XS and didn't drive the car for 6 months( was at the dealer). Dealer installed them, I took the car to drive home and it would buck hesitate and shake. Was dangerous to drive never got a CEL, The dealer had the car for 6 months then was at wits end removed them and put the stockers back on and the car was fine, I even remember call Berk and talking to them. probably was just a bad install or something but don't want to take that chance again, :/ . I had a thread about it over on G35Driver.

That being said I understand your position and not wanting to get burned again. I always recommend Berk because it's in my opinion the best combination of performance and value. Outside of that I would have to vote for FI because Tony makes good ****! |

Yea I had FI RHFC's on my coupe last year and a local Nissan dealer installed those too. No issues at all.

That's a good dealer. Mine basically told me when I installed the turbo to never bring it back cuz they would refuse to work on it regardless if the repair was turbo caused or not.
