I originally had K&N typhoon intakes that use different hookups for the breather than the Stillen G3s, when the installation was done the shop had to fabricate some hoses bound together with clamps to fit. I bought the Z1 breather hoses, swapped em out in 10 minutes, everything works perfect. I don't think Nissan made a design to intentionally fail, I think they just went with mass fabrication of plastic parts instead of silicone, which is more expensive. The Z1 hoses fit perfectly, I recommend them to anyone.
