Thanx man , but to many mods to see just what the intake would do, LTH, and HFCS, intake and exhaust , will net you 315 or so WHP on their own.
I'm just trying to get an idea what gains from just the manifold are
I won't be getting headers and only maybe FI RHFC'S .

send some cash and ill test it . dyno is $100hr rent. after i tune on the 8th at a different dyno im coming home to test on the dyno ive done 2 time before to see an overall gain. i can run the car, pull off the mani and run it again to see a power loss/equal/possible increase haha.

because stillen gen3's have a smaller hole through them than the over bored throttles do, so the gen3's would flow less air than the throttle does.

Yea, the G3's would flow less then the bored throttle bodies. You would think the G3's flow more then the stock set-up too. Just throwing this out there.

the stock intake and the stillen g3 might share the same ID but the stillen has better laminar air flow and 2 quite big air filter which reduce a lot the restriction of pumping the air thru them.

its the same story when someone put some K&N drop in .. they gain in general about half than the stillen because the restriction of the airflow is less in those filter than the OEM ones.

this is why I always recommended to make a custom CAI if paired with bored TB.

I know in the previous post I said that I was done with the mods, but the line in your signature intrigued me. Obviously, I do not need all of the breathing mods, but perhaps a new intake and ported lower might be in order, and anything else that I am "missing"...

If I tell you what you are missing, you wont like my answer... hehe

Like a full HR upper engine build? Definitely not in the cards.

no worries, I meant for a stock VVEL engine.

Might as well get it over with...

Sorry it was late and I didn't realize what I read when I posted. I know the ID of th g3 would be smaller than that of a bored TB. So basically without a custom intake that matches that of the TB, there wouldn't be any noticeable gains?

There'd be gains, you'd just have a choke point in the system.

Soooo now that some time has passed anyone care to chime in on which manifold is the better option? The z1 or the motordyne m370?

Generally besides a CAI, other intake mods don't really do anything for NA setups. You might see small increased in the middle of the rpm range but that's all.
