Good read for turbos.
http:// http://www.cobbtuning.com/Technical-Articles-s/70676.htm On the BP kits it's a 3" exhaust tube into the fi dual 2.5, which I am told from hear say doesn't start to loose gas(pardon the pun) till 600, whp.

why can't there be a design for a single exit exhaust that sits high like motordyne or FI and doesn't poke out as far out from the bumper?

I had an idea of using half of the FI 3inch system and custom welding it to mate a motordyne XYZ Sent from my phone |

Someone go take off one of their fi cans or photoshop it....but it won't be drift style like all the subies...my biggest hangup would be like scott said the bumper cut out but that cannot be hard to fab something.

What's up guys! Got the car dynoed today again. Had soho do a baseline and then another pull with the exhaust. Overall it looks like a 6%increas in torque and 5% in power. 4th and fifth gear! Car does have stock intakes and stock cats. The dyno read a little higher than I was expecting. But I'm still very happy with a gain of 11rwhp and 8lb/ft of torque!! Picked up 15 lb/ft of torque all the way from 3500 to 6000. It was nice to see the jump from the baseline!
Here were the numbers Red is base line Green is stock everything and soho cat back Blue is stock everything and soho cat back with fuel adjustments (tune) Last edited by Gregor12; 02-21-2015 at 08:22 PM. |

Yea it was. But still great power for a cat back exhaust! With just the axle back it picked up only 4 or 5 because the y oil was the choke point. Then with the y pipe it picked up another 8 on top of that with stock intakes and cats I don't think you'll see anymore gains. That's why it picked up so much under the curve but not up top. Some test pipes and intakes should help her open up the rest

So with a Y Pipe, Soho 3' and some test pipes it should be around the same HP as other exhaust just 45+ pounds lighter. I think that's a good thing, because the stock Y is where most of the bottleneck comes from.

Hey man. Edited my comment up there^ lol. But really it should make more. I need to look. And see how much other people are gaining without test pipes. (Percentage not numbers)

well now we know a little bit more, looks in line with the dyno graph on their website. as well, looks like a good single option if that is what you want. I would say the dyno reads about 20 HP high on average from other graphs I have seen, as well as all those 330+whp graphs they are pumping out, puts them right in the 315-320 range where they usually are tuned...anyway as long as you are happy with it that's all that matters, it is their y pipe right? I do not see it on the website.
most true cat-back exhausts from what I have seen make between 10-18 whp, Id say its about right.
