Default CNT Racing vs Garageline CBE?

Well - my shiny new (to me) Z will finally be arriving on Friday and I am in the market for a bang/buck exhaust! I know most folks on here recommend the FI (and probably a used FI for those of us on a budget) but even used, the FI setup is significantly more than these two systems... so flame suit on, but hopefully I can avoid a bunch of "just get an FI" type posts.

CNT Racing: HKS Style, 60mm (2.36") piping... though in this post zefaulter measured and reported its mostly 2.5", but 2.36" at the flexpipe inlets. Also midpipe is an H-pipe design. Available with burnt blue tips for $50 more.

Garageline: OEM Style, 2.5" piping, X-pipe design, comes with burnt blue tips. ~$100 cheaper than the CNT (assuming I want the burnt tips). Garageline offers a nice discount for forum members.

Who's got these systems? Pros/Cons of the HKS vs. OEM type designs? 2.36(ish)" vs. 2.5"?

Jayhovah, I'm in the same boat and have also reduced my CBE options to CNT Racing and Garageline -- but unfortunately life keeps me from have the necessary funds right now.

Anyway, Garageline is a forum sponsor and responds quickly to e-mails and is offering great deals. The forum members using Garageline like the exhaust as it's good quality; however, the only comment is that it's not super loud.

The best deals for CNT Racing exhaust are on eBay right now. The exhaust is a bit louder/deeper than Garageline; however, it's on the heavy side and some early purchasers complained of minor fitment issues.

Either way, both exhausts are quality and it's really a matter of taste. (Don't get caught up with dyno results as most 60mm CBE will provide you the same gains.)
