That depends on a lot of stuff... People are paying for more than just welded stainless when they go for a known good exhaust. They are paying for perfect fitment, vendor support, quality pipe / coating / muffler packing, etc. The fact that some exhausts are made here in the US or Japan also means something to their respective buyers. No one really knows anything about these random Chinese / Taiwanese exhausts, or the companies behind them. The buyers are saving money, but also taking a risk. What if the exhaust was welded incorrectly, will he or she get support from the vendor or company when things go wrong? If it all works out, wonderful, but what if it doesn't? Some people would rather spend more money for peace of mind.
