Megan Racing exhaust
Alright I found this axleback exhaust and I really like it. I bought this exhaust from this website awhile ago. They told me after buying it that I have to buy the mid pipes because it wont fit on stock mid pipes.... Even though it says it does on there website. Just wondering if anyone has any info on this exhaust and if anyone know if I really need to buy the mid pipes. I feel like they are just trying to get me to buy more stuff for they can make more money.
Heres the link Megan Racing Axle Back Exhaust; Drift Spec NISSAN 370Z ty

megan racing axle back
I recently installed the Megan Racing Drift Spec axle back exhaust on my 370z.($331 at THMotorsports) It bolted on easily, however the tips do not line up correctly coming out from under the bumper. Megan racing states that they will line up with their mid pipe.
I had them already on, liked the sound, and didn't want to fool with mid pipes, cats etc. So I found a shop that could TIG weld stainless. They cut the tip and installed a two inch piece of stainless to to get it corrected. Looks great. Wasn't cheap ($400). They sound good, nice low rumble. Look good. Too bad Megan doesn't produce these for easy bolt ons to the existing pipe. ....uploading some sound clips to youtube |

Not to thread jack but it sounds like you're squared away now. My question is kind of the opposite. I was wondering if anybody has tried to use the Megan Racing midpipe with the OEM mufflers? Or even the AAM axle back (not short tails)?
Right now I have what's in my signature and I'm at a fork in the road. Originally I was going to go with the Tanabe Medallion exhaust but, another member has given me a heads up that they will be selling their AAM axle back (again, not short tails!) soon and that would save a good chunk of change. But then I'd be stuck with the OEM midpipe. So if this midpipe is a straight drop in without fitment issues with the OEM muffler then that would be awesome! Please let me know everybody's thoughts or reviews from anybody that has this midpipe. Thanks!
