Fast Intentions Exhaust Installed
After about a month of waiting the exhaust finally arrived and got the chance to install it the other day. It was worth the wait
FI Carbon Fiber Mufflers. No Resonators. Packaging: The exhaust was packaged very well and wrapped with lots and lots of bubble wrap.. And i mean lots to the point that i needed to take a beer break after it was all off lol. Quality: The welds on the exhaust are very good one of the best ive seen from a custom made exhaust. This exhaust will last you the lifetime of the car easily. Full T-304 stainless steel and Tig welded. Although im not sure how the Carbon Fiber will hold up through the winter and rocks and such.. Only time will tell.. I also noticed there is a gap between the carbon fiber and the muffler ive heard other people say the same thing.. It has not become a problem of any kind and looks to be normal. Hopefully tony can shed some light on the subject. Installation: Installation was very easy, Tony emails you a set of instructions that are detailed with pictures. Honestly look over the instructions once and thats all you really need. As I only have about 2000 miles on my car the nuts and bolts came out no problem. Everything Fit as it should and bolted right up without any special adjusting. The only problem i ran into was the passenger muffler sits a little higher than the drivers side muffler. To fix this issue i took the passenger side hangar off and put 2 washers on each bolt to bring the muffler down slightly which did the trick and it now sits perfectly even. As far as cutting the heat shield not much needs to be cut off if any and tony provides heat wrap for the fuel line that is now exposed due to removing a plastic cover. Dont worry the fuel line is far enough away not to cause a problem especially for thos with Carbon Fiber mufflers. the CF stays cool to the touch and does not really get hot at all. Tony provides all high quality gaskets, nuts and bolts. There is no cliff notes to installing this exhaust it just bolts right up and fits great the first time around. Sound: WOW.. Low rpm 3500 rpm and under the exhaust sounds VERY DEEP. Above that the car turns into a ferrari with a beautiful high pitched but not annoying note. After reading what everyone was saying about the 18" resonators being more than enough as far as sound went i was a little afraid of how loud the exhaust might be without any resonators, But the exhaust was not loud at all and should not get you pulled over. Overall I give the exhaust a 10 out of 10. The exhaust sounds great, fits great and looks great and offers a great value compared to the competition. If you were on the fence about purchasing this exhaust what are you waiting for? buy it now, you will not be dissapointed Now for some pics.. a video will be coming soon i have a friend with an HD camcorder that will be doing the shooting this week. it's the same height or super similar to the stock, do you see how low the stock pipe is just before they bend upwards .... pretty low
they also go up the bump as the wheels go over the bump.... unless you go at fast speed through speed bumps and potholes |

^^really? maybe its just the way the mufflers are positioned, it appears lower than they really are. 4.5 inches, so if ur dropped an inch (average drop) 3.5 inches isnt THAT bad. slow and sideways over a bump should do. are u sure its similar to stockish height?
and thanks for posting pics with the measuring tape. |
