Slapping one on without the ability (beyond bolt ons) to move more air is probably going to provide minimal gains, but synergistically speaking it would probably become critical in something beyond a basic bolt-on setup.

the VVEL can be as aggressive as an aftermarket cam is .. don't forget it get up to 280 duration and close to 11mm of lift (cant remember exactly on lift..)
