I would venture to guess a ported manifold would really come alive with a set of camshafts. Slapping one on without the ability (beyond bolt ons) to move more air

I would venture to guess a ported manifold would really come alive with a set of camshafts.
Slapping one on without the ability (beyond bolt ons) to move more air is probably going to provide minimal gains, but synergistically speaking it would probably become critical in something beyond a basic bolt-on setup.
