I can't wait for the long tube headers thread, I was going to buy the F.I. hfcs, but I figured why buy the hfcs when the headers would replace that

We have talked about doing a few different versions. Do not rule any option out. You must stay tuned...

Every reputable manufacturer of aftermarket long-tube headers for most other cars offer cats as an option. I can't see why Fast Intentions will be any different. |

Obviously the long-tubes will hopefully do better than the shorts (probably both pre- and post- ECU tuning for them), but they're still going to be a relatively high cost/pain:gains ratio compared to most other available bolt-ons. That probably means most of the market won't bother with them, and that for those that do want to go the extra mile for the headers, dealing with the lack of HFCs (using O2 fakes or ECU tuning to delete the code, dealing with legality in some states, etc) is a relatively minor issue to be concerned about, all things considered. Just my $0.02. |
