Resonated Axle Back??

Other than top speed does anyone make an axleback system that is quieter than AAM? Stock is too quiet, AAM is too loud. TopSpeed sounds great to me but looks like crap with overly long tips and fitment issue's.

Anyone else make anything? Not looking to spend any more than what AAM wants.

Megan Racing makes an axleback.. Also a couple other knockoff ebay brands make them (not just topspeed).

Have you ever thought about just finding a used g37 muffler and putting that on your car? CL probably has one for $50.. Has more growl but maintains the stock appearance that you want.

Or spend the $$ and get AAM short tails but add resonators to your piping at a local muffler shop.

.

I would hold off for another couple weeks.

A little bird told me that AAM is about to release their muffled axle back (finally).

Had no fitment issues with my top speed axle back.

I was just going to post the exact same question! Does anybody know for sure of the Megan Racing axle back (MR-CBS-N7Z09-DS-R) can be added to the factory mid pipes? I keep getting conflicting information everywhere I look. I recently installed a Top Speed and it sounds great, but it sticks out way too far for my taste. Top Speed said it was actually made for a Nismo and its larger rear bumper. Any info would be great!

Hopefully AAM can allow trade-ins to knock off a few hundred bucks for the muffled version  and at a reasonable price for just being an axle back part.

I ended up ordering the regular Short Tails, but the resonated ones are apparently comming out soon, I was able to confirm this today. If I find mine are too loud I will sell them and go to their resonated ones.

it will sound fine as long as you dont get test pipes, with test pipes they sound like ***(unless you like that kind of sound)

Roddy did you ever itall your short tails? I'm in the same ot I want louder than sock but not 18 year old loud either. Wondering if you are pleased with the short tails.

They are in the bubble wrap still in my garage. I ended up ordering HFC's and had put these short tails up for sale. The buyer changed his mind and I haven't decided whether to list them again or hang into them and install them.
