Exhaust Control Valve installation ?

Does anybody know where to put the valve cable ? I got the part on the Y pipe but I have no idea where to put the cable from the inside to outside out the car. :shakes head: My GTHAUS is killing everybody behind me and I'm trying to reduce the sound for DD. :eekdance:

My cable looks like this one.

Why not buy an electric butterfly valve from ebay or summit racing and not worry about a big *** cable? That way you won't have to drill a hole for the cable to go inside the cabin. IMO I don't care for the people behind me, if it is fine inside the cabin then that's good enough for me.

get an electronic one

preferably one made by QTP since their butterfly valve design is leak proof

If I ever did it I'd specifically get a manual cutout. No motor to fail. And they do fail. Usually halfway open. :rofl2:

This is why I chose the manual one. I heard that the electronic one fails easily :icon14:

The exhaust previous owner told me that there's a hole in the upper left corner of the trunk that goes out to the rear wheel, but I couldn't find it. Does anybody know about this ?

I'm trying to remember from when I had everything out. I think there's a couple of grommets back there. Unfortunately, all of mine are covered in layers of dynamat so I can't check.

depends on the design, but the motors usually do fail

QTP is a block off plate design so if it did fail when it was closed, it will stay closed
