dude idk exactly nor do i have access to a scale lol. 2009 aut ois 3232lbs stock. i dropped probably 30-50lbs with my exhaust and intake mods. |

Nvm saw in a post you're all stock even with a full tank at times. I was 3361lbs bone stock full tank all fluids. I'm sure you're a little lighter with added performance parts and catless. Let's call it 3300lbs. Plus you add what? 160? So you're 3460lbs total. You made 324hp (not sure what the correction factor was but I bet STD on a Dynojet?) therefore you're moving 10.68lbs per HP. Currently with me I'm sitting at 3220lbs. Now if I were to believe my Dynojet (which I don't) I'm putting down a sad 302hp but in SAE but I'll use it anyways. I come in at 10.66lbs per HP. So I'm better and should be faster. I see no way for you to drop over a second when your HP per weight ratio isn't there. Granted the 7at might shift faster but I can always redo it with my iPhone so I can see the tach and FFS. I'd guess a drop of about .1-.2 if I did that. Only way I see you being that much faster is if you cheat and do it down a hill. Just my 0.02, not trying to start a fight. Just using simple math here. |

also i highly highly doubt i'm at 3400 lbs 3250-3300 max. i'll do a test this weekend if i have the time. also i may even so a slo-mo one for fun to watch the tach/mph needles lol also i wouldnt cheat by a downhill. what kind of fgt would do that? i enjoy knowing i did something on the same level playing field as others.....and doing better  |

Look at the 09 gtr. 3900 almost 4000 gross. Add a good 200 lbs to that. Stock dyno is mid to low 400's. Hp to weight ratio is 9.3 and it runs 6.0 50-100. I don't think you'll break mid 6. PS, as for the driver mod comment...this is why this test is done. It pulls the driver out! All you do is smash the throttle. A monkey could run your car, my car, anyone's car the exact same time. My car has just 1 shift. Is the 7at faster? Probably over me, by what? A tenth? I'm not slow. |

Hope you enjoy. You've got me thinking about the upper now. Talking to porter now. Maybe we can do all 3 from now on and maybe we'll get some real numbers soon. My porter can at least flow bench test to see how air we are getting now! Forced induction guys should be all over this!
|
Let me know if he still has them so that way I can ship my upper and the TB's, girlfriend said they have already arrived. IS he going to port match the upper?

added the upper intake manifold back in to the FS thread!!
soon to have bench flow testing done! http://www.the370z.com/parts-sale-pr...-manifold.html |
I should have the parts off the car this weekend. Once that happens I will have them shipped during the week, then we get to see how it all goes.

Sounds good!

Woohoo a dyno finally. He even went from STD to SAE and made more power with a retune and TB's.

Clear Pm's please, You PM's are full :) thank you

So I took the plunge and picked up a used upper intake. I have done some porting in the past, and have all the tools, so I figured why not after reading all the hype. This is basically a clean-up exercise. Not much material to remove just flashing from manufacturing. So I can't expect much gains from doing this. Maybe somewhere in the mid to top end range. Also looking for a lower so I can match the ports where the two meet and polish it and clean up the bumps. Of cause a tune helps at some point.

I tried, I really did try, to read this whole thread but only made it to page 15. Can someone please tell me the bullet points of all this info?
-parts, and how modified -modifind by who? -price? -Hp/Tq increases? I'm not being lazy, I read most of it as I'm interested in doing this to my Nismo. It's just this thread while packed with info is disjointed and hard to get information in a to b to c way. Thanks |
Most of your information is on the first page of this thread. Upper, Lower, TB's. The Hp/Tq have yet to be test individually and together that is a lot of time on the dyno especially with all the other after market parts out there. Syno will tell you about price and there is a core exchange amount once he receives your TB's. When the porter gets your oem lower you will get the other fee. f
Upper 225 Shipped with paypal fees if you send in your core or 545 with 250 refund. Lower 260 Shipped with paypal fees if you send in your core or 460 with 190 refund. TB's 295 Shipped with paypal fees if you send in your core or 485 with 200 refund. Scott will chime in if I missed anything. |

PM me with any questions after you read it. |
So I've decided to pay for a locals uprev license to get this moving along (cheaper than you think :) ). We will be tuning his G37 as is right now with CAI, HFC and CBE. I will then be adding my parts, do a base run to see what they do alone, and tune again. So all of you that have been waiting, wait no longer.
As I thought talking with the tuner these parts WILL show the greatest gains for FI guys! So if 500hp isn't enough then come see me. The tune is setup for November 30th at 3pm at Covert Tuning in Columbus, which by the way, nice cars! Currently 4 TT Lambos sitting around with 100% CNC custom manifolds with integrated BOV's, 4" intake pipes, CNC exhausts, headers etc etc. Stay tuned. https://www.facebook.com/CovertTuningDynamics http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ps8fef49b3.jpg |

you have to. tuner cant tune unless he knows what to start changing and stuff. he might back off of a base if its knocking or something but a run has to come before anything.
|
Dyno tune for my car T minus 1hr! Wish me luck this time.
|
IN for results man ! :)

Luck has been wished

PS, the back to back dynoing for the parts and testing is still going down the 30th. My tune is different even though I have all the same parts but they are already installed and tuned for. We are just checking the tunes health. Tuner was nice enough to discount some of the work. Stay tuned mostly for the 30th though!!!! |
In for updates too... Best wishes dude!!
|
I want to do this for a GTR. The TB's look identical. Confirm?
