Hood open will only really allow for heat to dissipate better.
With a SRI system you are limited in air flow already with the placement, open the hood would create the wrong air flow (i.e. more than what would be in a real world environment). CAI system, bumper off might be closer to real world, but I have not done any work with those systems...yet. |

I'm doing 4 runs, two before and two after. I will commit to doing it all on the same day if the shops can work it out. The shop with the dyno and the one doing the install are not the same. So I want the atmospheric conditions to be the nearly the same to show the gains if any.
So how about after they are installed I do one run with the hood open and the other with it closed? |
