Warning do not buy Motordyne products
I have the MotorDyne test pipes v1. 3 separate times this piece of sh1t test pipe has cracked in 3 different locations, and needed repair welding.
The welder at the shop has said that the metal is cheap and thin. Last night driving home, the extended o2 bong completely fell off and dragged on the highway all the way home. Luckily I was only an exit away. Looking at the o2 bong, I thought it was just hardened carbon buildup. Nope, it's metal. I had a hole drilled through it to confirm, which also makes sense why I've always had a check engine code running these test pipes since there was absolutely no air going to the o2 bong in the first place. Motordyne is absolute garbage. Never getting anything from them ever again.

This is horrible workmanship if this term can even be used.

**** happens. Metal gets hot, it weakens. You want stuff that doesn't break, put you're money where your mouth is. You're gonna pay double though for 321SS vs 304SS. Also you said version 1. How old are these? A new company probably isn't going to shell out tons of money for the highest quality 304SS. Over time their new versions might have it or they went thicker. Ragging on a company for a first gen product isn't really fair. FI mufflers first gen drug along the ground so I say screw all FI products, never buy that crap too, right? Was Kia the best of the best their first time out? They may not have a warranty but that doesn't mean Tony can't be called and asked "what should I do?"

A weld broke on the Fast intentions exhaust I have, the left rear hanger weld,,,also a weld is broke on my right Motordyne art pipe on the support they have between the pipes. They must be crap companies. This car also obviously sees road salt, it will eat the crap out of the metal, look at those pipes...

Glad we got that sorted out
Good job getting the title changed, but please edit the original post to correct the additional company name references

304 wouldn't do that unless it was hella thin, this probably 406 or another 400 series, i have a set of gtm test pipes purchased back in march of 09 and they are still shiny. the scariest thing to me is that the weld was good it was all the tube around the weld that fatigued and broke, meaning weld it back on and it will fail again, also yes they forgot to drill the hole for the j tube before they welded it definitely the cause of the SES light, drill a 3/8 in hole in it into the tube before you weld it back on, or just throw these things out, also a brace to the tube would help too.
