Meisterschaft mid pipe fitment
Do any of you guys know if the mid section of the meisterschaft system will bolt on to a MXP muffler?
thanks |
I have the meisterschaft mid pipe.
so my question would be, does the MXP muffler bolt up to the stock mid pipe? If so then yes it will bolt up perfectly. |
Why would you swap out the mid pipe of all things? Is it going to make it sound better at all?
|
Thanks tempestz,
I was curious thats all, it seems to me that the midpipe will be easier to bolt on a downpipe if im going turbo. |

Whats the price on the meisterschaft one? Aam makes a bolt on midpipe thats $800-900 |
isn't the midpipe 2.5 inches just like the MXP midpipe?
|
Voice, I see what you are sayin. I thought maybe he was stock w/mxp axleback mufflers? Do they even make those? Idk.
Stock is 2.25 and I thought maybe he wanted to continue to build a custom exhaust from the rear---> forward. Anyways, it sounds like he wants to get rid of the resonators on the current mxp full catback. Meisterschaft is a straight piped mid pipe |
Ok..got it.
|
Interesting....
|
Yeah no resonators in the midpipe and i think it would be easier to match with a downpipe. Seems to be the way to go for me if i decide to go single turbo.
|
The GTHAUS/miesterschaft midpipe is 498 from vividracing.com. thats where i got mine. now, this is just the peice from ypipe to muffler, the ypipe is another peice. the AAM midpipe does however seem to make more power, but its resonated. its also the full thing from cats to rear muffler section. I have a video of how the GTHAUS ypipe and Midpipe sound with the stock muffler. and another without a muffler at all. if your interrested in either one just let me kow.
|
I say go with all three sections. You will not be disappointed.
