Deleted reso, and installed 2.5" straight...
i've done it at the local autoshop with decent price, $205(labour+tax).
I asked machanics to cut both resonators and install 2.5" stainless steel straight pipes in that place... It sounds just like the car in this video. YouTube - 2008 G37 Stock Exhaust W/Resonators Removed I think exhuast note became very very rasp, but definetely louder than stock. Overall, i'm satisfied the result over the price i spent. Bang for the buck. |
rasp=bad, but if that's what you like....
bang for buck? for what the sound? |
Blah! That rasp is horrendous!
|
Rasp = Rice.
|
that was a waste of money.....could of saved some more and just buy some HFC's
|
I kind of like the rasp, especially since it seems to only come on when he really gooses it. Most exhaust systems make the car sound too smooth in my opinion. That said I have trouble justifying any change to my exhaust that doesn't come with a measurable power increase, especially when I consider the extra attention that loud exhaust garners from the police.

rasp sounds ugly no matter what

That sounds nasty! My neighbor's 17 year old kid has a beat out Honda civic with rice can in the back and his POS sounds better than that!

Dude, the point of modifying the exhaust is to not only get a BETTER sound out of it, but also to get MORE POWER. You just made it sound like crap and didn't get any power increase...but if you're happy with it then who gives a SH**:bowrofl:
