Did I Lose Power?

Hi guys i have Berk Non-Resonated Test Pipes and Stillen Gen3 Intakes. Did i lose any power or did i actually gain?

Wonka2581 09-29-2013 08:48 PM

Only a DYNO can tell you that,

If you haven't tuned the engine, then you may have lost some power - the ECU can only adapt itself so far. But as Wonka2581 says, only a dyno can tell for sure.

Look man,
If I were you I would go ahead and do everything you are going to do then the last thing to do is get a tune, your A/F will be off till then. And I would not do more then (2) breather mods till then. You might lean the motor out to much.

In all probability, you gained a good deal of power and torque (say, 20ish or more), but the only way to know for sure how much and where you need a before and after dyno.

Why did you think you might have lost power?

Im getting an FI TDX Catback soon. But i already have test pipes and intakes and everybody seems to get great gains off the 3. But wat imma do is get the exhaust and nst pullys and then uprev

Only way to really tell is with a before and after dyno pull. Most people have seen gains without a tune though. I'd personally hold on any under drive pulley upgrade. Marginal gains (+/-5 hp) with a reasonable amount of risk involved to the motor. Plenty of argument from both sides, but why take a chance for a 5 hp or less when combined with other mods.

If you really want to lose rotational mass on the motor, do a lighter flywheel when you do a clutch or the CSC craps out.
