Did the ppe have a 3 star scavenger thing in the collector like FI?
I don't have ppe but my setup is crazy raspy even with 18" resonators. Looks like 12" ones at the lth connection are in my future. Or Helmholtz resonator or side branch resonators. Although those are more for drone I believe. |

Here is a link of mine This is with The PPE's, Tanabe and MD Y pipe/HFC. After really listening into the video I hear just a hint of rasp, but I can't hear it at all driving. Pipes may have not been warmed up in this vid. GTM Twin Supercharged 370Z Exhaust - YouTube The one below is windows down with a my cell phone Twin supercharged 370Z acceleration - YouTube |
With the hfc I'm sure you don't have rasp. Plus isn't the setup not a true dual? I forget.

Least rasp, deepest CBE paired with PPE LTH?
I currently have the stillen CBE system and it's pretty raspy I can't stand driving around sounding like a rice burner lol. So I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make my car sound clean and deep again. Do you guys have any suggestions of good pairs?
|
Btw my exhaust only got raspy after I installed the headers obviously.

Why did you make another thread for the exact same thing? Go buy Vibrant 12" or 18" resonators and have them installed. That or buy 2 high flow cats and have them installed. You have no other option, period.
Does the stillen already have 2 resonators in the mid pipe?? If not then you need to buy 4 resonators. There's a reason some test pipe makers sell resonated test pipes. |
No I don't believe it has any resonators at all.

Lol how you not know? I think it has 2

Lol I guess it does huh. Thanks for that

After reading this I don't think you should do resonators inline with the pipe. Do a Helmholtz resonator.
Tee off the Y pipe behind the flanges that bolt to the LTH and add them going straight across. Hopefully not only will your sound change but add HP too. Nissan 350Z Motordyne ART Products - Fact Or Fiction - Import Tuner Magazine |
That's an awesome idea I'm just not exactly sure how I would pull that off. Isn't there some technical specifications behind all that. Can't exactly just weld a pipe onto the y pipe and expect it to work?
|
Where exactly would I get something that I could even use for that?
