Replace Mufflers with Resonators

Has any body done this or seen this done. Replace mufflers at back with Bottle stainless Resonators with tips attached. The flow should be better and the sound should be

Replace mufflers at back with Bottle stainless Resonators with tips attached. The flow should be better and the sound should be louder. Is there any loss in performance or any gains? I have heard of this being done. Is there any body out there that has tried this? Thanks
