Injen CAI's?
just seen these at intensepower, looks very similar to the G3's, HP claims are similar too, anyone have these yet? know what kinda filters they use? Install similarities? Locations of filters?
I'm actually leaning towards the Injen CAI as well. I just like the fact that you don't have to drill any kind of a permanent hole to install. The washer fluid relocation is very simple and is provided with the kit. The g37 guys saw 16+ whp gains which makes sense and is in line with the stillen g3. It's personal preference at this point - they do the same thing and both do it very well. One question i have about the injen is whether or not they use a dry filter.
I was curious about that as well, I had an oiled filter on my G35 and it would leave residue on my MAF sensor and made it idle funny, dont want that!
Injen uses a dry filter.
woh...that is a deal sealer. Link showing the use of dry filter? Thanks.

Delicious. Now do I want polished or powder-coated black? Hmm.
polished hands down, ESPECIALLY if your Z is red. I'm wondering why this kit is more expensive than the G3's, seems like slowly but surely more and more manufacturers are developing products for us, glad I didnt start going mod crazy right when this car came out, I bet soon there will be better exhaust systems, intakes, HFC's, headers, etc, than whats currently available, and most likely at a lower cost as the competition heats up! Not knocking those already heavily modded Z's out there, but its always good to give the model a year before you start piling on the mods just so guys like me cant one up ya for half the cost !)

Well the price I was quoted is less expensive than the G3s.
really? what store? at intensepower I think theyre asking for $560
Send some PMs to vendors who say they have it, they might have a better deal than what is on the website.

just did, thanks fellas.

wait til the R2C intakes confirm fitment for the 370z...it's like 100 bucks cheaper...group buy mind you....and has same gains as Stillen G3's
hmm.... might just have to wait a bit longer. Also, anyone in agreeance that the FI exhausts have the highest gains in hp and tq of all the systems so far?
F.I has THE best exhaust in the G37 community...best gains and sounds
the r2c intakes will confirm fitment any day now.....just wait for it |
r2c intakes?
I am planning on the Injen's powder coated black.... The Intense guys are good to work with and will hook you up if possible. Do not write them off before actually calling them to see what they can do price wise.
Darren and Pete can work magic... |
yes, r2c performance intakes....google that...lolz

I dont see that setup making good gains, while the heat shields are a nice touch, nothing beats a true CAI, the injen seems to be the best bang for the buck so far.
Independent dyno of Gen3 and R2C. Mind you it was cooler and more humid on the stillen run.

Then that graph really means nothing. The little bit of difference in the mid-range could be a result of the different conditions.
That said, of all the dyno graphs comparing [Insert CAI Here] to stock, the only gains seem to be at the very top end of the range. It's almost like the stock setup flows fine up until around 7,000 RPM where the higher-flow aftermarket stuff would benefit. |
I said Gen3 vs r2c not stock vs r2c
