ARK PERFORMANCE INC : 370z TRUE DUAL Prototype 1 & 2 UPDATED VIDEOS 10/29/09
As the g37 Coupe is about done, We already had this already well into the design process and now have a prototype made.
Like I have stated before in my post, this will be 1 of 3 exhaust designs that will go into production. I didn't want to just tease you guys with pictures so I had the sound clips made in comparison to the OEM exhaust. Let me know if you have any questions regarding this exhaust. ARK's New product line exhaust system name brand "GRIP". The ARK "GRIP" offers the serious 350Z enthusiast a rare combination of top quality materials and superb craftsmanship who want the absolute best quality True Dual Burnt SUS Tip exhaust system money can buy. Each exhaust is constructed with high quality SUS-304 full stainless and manufactured with that full polished finish. Each system features mandrel-bent stainless steel piping for maximum exhaust flow and reduced back pressure. The ARK "GRIP" exhaust system focuses on providing the best possible performance results whether your engine is stock or heavily modified and is dyno proven to maximize engine response and longevity. Features Burn Tip layer Exhaust Tips SUS304 Stainless Steel Construction Fully Polished Finish 60mm dual Piping w/ DUAL 100mm Exhaust Tip CNC Machined Flanges Exposed micro TIG welded Bolts and hardware required for install are included Notice how the Sound is deeper yet the decibel level is similar. Could it be our ARK Technology Resonators? Note: We did 2 start ups on the Test for our Prototype to show idle, to off, and start up noise level. Of course more videos will be up shortly. I will always try and provide new ways to show the 370z community how our exhaust differ from other brands as well as providing detailed presentable information. We are also working with LOU@AMPLIFIEDMOTORSPORTS. He will have all current pricing once the prices are released. We are here to simply support our loyal dealers. ARK PERFORMANCE INC : GRIP TYPE 2 True Dual exhaust 370z 2 of 3 of our Exhaust design for the 370z. Staying true to our True dual X-pipe system, which still continues to give great gains. This is all thanks to our x-pipe and resonator design for best flow with street legal decibels. Here are some visual persuasion ARK PERFORMANCE INC GRIP TRUE DUAL Exhaust TYPE 2 Nissan 370z additional Notes: The additional canisters have two important functions. One is to keep the true tone of the 370z. During lower RPM's these canisters fill up and lessens drone (which is ideal for Daily driving). When it comes to higher RPM's, the air bypasses these canisters and act as a straight through muffler. The results show that it bears the same gains as any straight through mufflers while keeping the tone. However there is a difference between our exhaust system design and other exhaust systems as well that make our sound unique. Its the quality of metal that we use as well as the thickness of piping that we used to make these exhaust system. Not to mention that we implemented our X-flow into this system as well. Ultimately, we came out with a way to have that clean tone, without sacrificing performance throughout the band. - What are the differences between this and the Type 1 and Type 3? Type 3 has not even been released yet. The difference if between type 1 and 2 is the design of the exhaust system. Type 1( ARK DTS )- uses a True dual system that never meets and flows straight through all the way back. Type 2( ARK GRIP )- utilized our X-flow, Dual Resonators, and Dual Canisters. Our signature tips are dual Rolled, welded, Polished burnt tips Lastly, for Type 3 ( ARK N2 ) - we are looking into a Single Exit exhaust that is used for competitive street and Track use. We will use Titanium for our single exit systems. This model will be the last project that we take on for the 370z. Just a small added note: We are also looking into short shifters for the 370z. so stay tuned. Team ARK Last edited by TeamARK; 04-09-2010 at 12:21 AM. |

I had an ARK exhaust on my Tiburon and loved it. Good to see that you guys are offering one for the 370Z as well.

Just out of curiosity, why does everyone rave about the tone being deeper? Not in the context of this exhaust, but imports in general?
We all know why Americans V8's have a deep sound: big pistons and long stroke. When you take a small displacement engine and try to make it sound deep it doesn't really add any aural appeal... to me anyways. Taking this concept to an extreme and you get the 1.5 liter Honda Civic with the fart can muffler. High pitch is sexy cool. Think Lambo and Ferrari. The 370z with the rev limiter reset to 8,000 is a beautiful thing. I wish my exhaust had a higher pitch to make it have a more exotic sound. |

I absolutely love the low grumble of a big V8 at idle, high pitched whines sound too ricey to me. ARK, is there any possibility that you guys could make a vid of how it might sound with HFC's? Im looking forward to hearing how it sounds from inside at WOT. Ive narrowed my choices down to yours or Stillens. Would it be safe to say we could see comparable gains to the other systems out? Avg seems to be 15hp.

We believe that with the 370z engine and our exhaust put together creates a very exotic exhaust tone. Quote:
