Grab a correct piece of an exhaust in the warehouse, ship said piece, customer is happy and your not flamed. I don't have a nickel in this but I hate when something like this is not taken care of.

Interesting, so no news was actually no news. Seems like they would want to get this taken care of since bad publicity flies on a forum like this. Hopefully they take care of you, hopefully my exhaust does not have the same problem.

I called over to ARK Performance today and found that Alex has left for Korea, temporarily. He should be back within the next couple of weeks. Until then, this issue can be solved by speaking with their warehouse manager by calling (909) 391-1275.

They have explained that an adjustment can be made by "pushing up the flange and rebolting that portion of the exhaust."

The first part of the post I can get down with. The second has to be the funniest thing ever. I know you didn't say it Eric!

Well, whether this is correct or not, my exhaust is built the same way. Pics here:

I'll try to install it and see what happens.

TonyBPD 08-05-2010 03:34 PM

What does your supplied gasket look like?

bullet1 08-05-2010 03:42 PM

the gaskets are all separate so I have 2 - 2 bolt gaskets to go on that connection. While it doesn't seem like it would affect the fitment much, who knows. We'll see.

TonyBPD 08-05-2010 03:46 PM

My gasket was one piece. Bottom line is someone, somewhere screwed up. I wonder how many are jacked?

Here is a close up of mine -

Alex

The friend who installed it is very knowledgeable at installing exhausts. He tried any trick he could to get more space between the cross member. He loosened everything up pushed the mid pipe up with a transmission jack re-tightened everything and still ended up with no extra clearance.
