Reminds me of something Modshack made... canister with cone filter inside.

It's up inside. I'm pretty sure this is one of theirs on a 350z. Something about creating a vortex or more suction. Can't remember, I've seen something about these in a tuner mag (in engrish) somewhere in the past.
