Has anyone installed the Nismo intake? Those have shields so if any gains are realized it could shed light on the open air intakes that reside in the engine bay, a shield may be the answer.
As they stand now, the intake temps are higher hence why the fuel map is richer.

I think this engine likes long tubed intakes....no short ram...
hopefully takeda could prove us wrong...i'm looking for a short ram because of the price...and ease of install...but I definitely don't want to gain 2whp...12whp is more like it |

sorry for the delay guys. We went to TAKEDA on monday to drop it off. They said no need, basically got a baseline dyno, installed the new intakes and off we went. They want us to drive it around for 300+ miles so the ECU can learn the new intake.
We are scheduled to go back thursday for the dyno. I'll keep eveyone posted once results are in. I've already suggested the heatshield awhile back. They had my G37 for 2 weeks for the same reason. Hopefully they make or even better the heatsheild works for both. Unfortunately, the new design for the g37 is not done yet |

Thanks for the update Lou!
Just to be sure, Takeda are doing the dyno with the hood closed this time aren't they? In their promo video they show a dyno run with the hood open, but when The Dreamer did his dyno, I beleive he did it with the hood closed. |
