Takeda Intake Installed!

Any idea of whether Takeda is producing Heat Shields for these now?

Unless they are full enclosures like the factory boxes heat shields will not matter.

no, takeda refuses to believe their product is designed porely (no heat shields)

of course you can get good gains with the hood open and a giant fan blowing fresh air directly into the engine bay Takeda!, this is how Takeda tested these on a dyno. real world with the hood closed and the fact that the engine bay is very well sealed off from the top and front bottom half. thus no air movement other than the small holes that the stock air filter boxes hooked up to...i.e. not enough air flow.

bottom line is, all these are good for is raising the sound bar up a notch...my ecm had a hellova time adjusting to these crappers in the mid texas heat of the summer too...

ill be replacing these pos's with ingens soon...

new thread will be started for that install

The AFE Pro Dry S filter that comes on the Takeda Intake has a 3.5" neck diameter, 5" height, 4" top diameter and 6" base diameter.
