Default Issues after Stillen Header install

Hey all, sorry. I saw a few posts similar but not exactly the same as the issues im having so i created a new one.

Anyways to sum things up i decided to install the Stillen Headers and Z1 High Flow cats. Everything went smoothly (and slowly) but we got it all done without breaking anything (i think).

Anyways went to turn the car on and it started fine, no issues whatsoever BUT..the second after i put my foot on the gas and start to drive i get both the vdc and slip light on the dash. Stop the car and turn it off..they both go away. Car drives normally, no power loss, brakes are topped off and feel fine. Reset car by disconnecting the battery then reconnected it and started it...same as before. No lights until i start to drive forward and then both the vdc and slip light are illuminated.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Question

Did you remove the steering shaft from the rack and pinion doing the install?

Mozen, I'm stationed in Vilseck and I installed the headers as well. I never had the issues that are having. My install was done at DC autoservice, they are pretty much a Subaru dealership/ shop but they work on my Z without any issues. I recommend them for future installs. I bet any Subie guy in Ansbach knows about them.

Actually ive heard a ton about DC auto service and i have a friend with a green evo that is friends with christian however i have personally had the worst customer service ever with them lol. Tried two times to get a quote for this and some diff work, each time they had a different excuse for why they did not get back to me. In the end i gave up and did the work myself...the guys who posted above said its an easy fix..ill head to the Nissan dealership and have them reset the sensor.

Did anyone else have inconsistent steering feel after the steering rack was removed and put back in? I haven't had a chance to bring it back to the shop for check up and wondering if anyone else is having the same problem as me.

When I turn the wheel about 60 degrees, it would feel normal, anything after that, steering becomes very light. It is the same either turning left or right. I just had alignment done too.

Any ideas??

I'd start by bleeding the PS system. Sounds like there's air in there.

My instructions from stillen was when taking the shaft off...make sure you don't turn ANYTHING. If anything turns it will mess the traction control

to avoid moving the steering tie your seat belt around the wheel and pull the seat back far as possible, locks the wheel in place
