New INVIDIA exhaust dual canister NO RASP. PROTOTYPE AVAILABLE SOON FROM AMPLIFIED
From the very get go, I've informed Invidia that Q300 exhaust looks great, quality is awesome, bends are minimized for better flow and welds are clean, some might think the sound is too much on the raspy side.
For a few weeks now, they've been sending us different sections of the exhaust to make it a better sounding exhaust. I've given them advice on how to minimize the rasp, get better low end torque and an exhaust that will sound good with or without high flow cats or test pipes. Here are some pictures of the final prototype. Production begins this week and i was informed it will be ready in about a month. Retail price will change a little due to higher production cost Here are the list of changes RESONATORS ADDED BIGGER X PIPE 2 EXHAUST CANS INSTEAD OF 1 OPTIONAL ROLLED TI TIPS(CURRENT) OR SINGLE WALLED TI TIPS I WILL POST VIDEO'S TOMORROW. I CAN HONESTLY SAY IT SOUNDS VERY REFINED. Not too loud, very deep and definitely no RASP:tup: http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...invidia003.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...invidia004.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...invidia007.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...invidia009.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...invidia010.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...ghttips001.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...ghttips003.jpg |
I forgot to mention that they are also currently working on making HIGH FLOW CATS.
Here are some images, I don't know exact pricing yet but they are working on it, the only info i have is that they are thinking of using 100 cel, 60mm piping http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...0g37/g2048.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...0g37/g2049.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...0g37/g2050.jpg http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/u...0g37/g2052.jpg |
Awesome news... I wish I waited on my exhaust prior to buying it. What would be really cool is if they offered a trade-up for those who purchased the original already. The rasp is starting to get to me and I want to make it stop!

I bet some of the guys with the first system are going to be pissed. I think this one sounds pretty good... definitely want to hear it with HFCs.
Thanks for the vids you put up... very helpful! |
Its a great looking system, that's for sure. Sounds good, too.

For a second I though you were talking about a new graphics card from the title LOL. Nice exhaust.

The tips still stick out too far for my taste, other than that looks and sounds great

ok, this is the one that I want for sure, this week! I will pass on the berk for now. When will it be avail?

Very nice. Good job on getting rid of the horrible rasp.

Do you think the revised x-pipe played the larger role in eliminating the rasp or the dual mufflers?

I see. I guess my next question is, how do I get my hands on just the new muffler section? I'm assuming the diameter of the titanium tips is still the same..

i have the new invidia exhaust installed. i got this morning before i came to work today. i must say, Invidia has top notch customer service. they take the time to explain and show you what they do. i was there probably for about 45 mins tops and i was walking away with a lot of information.
shout out to Bernard for showing me around the shop and the products you guys carried. you guys do a great job. and also thanks to mr. wang. i'm definitely getting Invidia products for my 370z after my experiences with Invidia. they just get it. also, i would like to thank Lou and Paul at Amplified. you guys have been a great help, sorry i missed out on the BBQ. but i'll try and stop by the shop and chat about them Lakers. you guys rock! about the exhaust. i think it's a bit louder, but i think i need some time to break it in. i'll post a video when i get the chance. |
No video w/ hfc or test pipes yet?
|
Really looking forward to hearing the new pricing on this exhaust. It sounds great, and while I'm only judging by the clips in the threads here, I do like this one better than the first.
Any chance we could see a photo of the tip from directly behind the car? I'm curious if it looks odd going from the large opening to the small one. I'm also interested in how the low-end torque may have changed with this new design (per your first post about it) as that's where I want to see power increases for the car. |
We are getting some Prototype work done on our 370z and once we get our OE exhaust back, I'll do my best to get invidia to do another baseline and dyno comparison
As for the hfc/exhaust combo, sorry but our Z is getting more proto stuff done by other companies. (aluminum rad and oil cooler). Once we get our Z back, we will test the hfc/exhaust combe and make another video |
i just word today that container is arriving on sept 26. Anyone want to pre order?
