Well, I just randomly looked under the car today and found out that this metal cage is really close my exhaust canister. As a matter of fact, it's rubbing against my right exhaust canister! So I send HKS USA an email and believe me or not, I got a reply within 2 hours from them! They basically reminded me of the rear emission canister shield and asked me to remove it. I'm just curious, is this it? The local exhaust shop that put my exhaust on, didn't tell me anything about removing this shield. Currently my car /\ I'm just making sure that's okay to remove.
