There are other purposes to modding other than power gains. Although intakes can be seen as a "power-gain" mod, paying extra to have an exclusive or different set, or simply the aesthetics of the intakes can sway a decision on which intakes to get.

I agree, that was the main reason i chose the whole Z1 motorsports silicone set in blue (K&N filters too), and a full Tanabe CBE (it was the whole package i had envisioned for an exhaust for the 370z). I wrote out a plan from bumper to bumper of what i wanted for my girl Vanity, haven't looked back! Mod until your completely happy i always say!:happydance:

He paid $700-$800 over drop ins for a whopping 3 hp if he's lucky and that will only be in part of the powerband he won't be able to feel or will probably ever use. Just wow! Where's the bend over and get rapped icon?? :icon23:

this isnt africa....this is america, before we go about worrying about other people in other countries we need to worry about the starving/homeless people in our states...besides its his money he can do whatever he wants with it...

the intakes look badass if i had the cash to dish out i would def pick these up. hopefully the gains are similar if not better then the stillen g3.

Gorgeous intake pricey, but who cares. We all spend more for our parts then most domestic guys, but we do it anyhow. Its your car you enjoy it and are happy with your purchase, that's what matters.

Well appreciate it guys. All I wanna do is put some info out on this system on our forum in case anyone is interested. I understand the cost but... hey I wouldn't spend a couple thousand on the amuse body kit, but I enjoy watching everyone do it because it looks bad*** just different priorities. This thread shouldn't be about price but more about another option we have for our Z which is pretty different.

peleincubus 07-13-2013 11:53 PM

Exactly thank you. I like to see ALL options for 370's so I'm informed on what to buy.

If it wasn't that it looked like it was pieced together (welds) for the bends I think it would look pretty nice. As it looks it the picture, looks like someone threw some pieces on a bench and said weld it together...

Chuck33079 07-21-2013 12:03 PM

You can't really bend Ti. You have to cut and weld.

Guess you might want to explain that to these guys. I can see where it might be more cost effective to cut and weld, but don't make a blanket statement that it can't be done...

Okay. Change "can't really" to "it's possible, but a serious pain in the *** since Ti is much more brittle than steel or Al".

he's correct. High grade titanium is unable to bend. you have to have a much lower grade softer metal to bend pipes like that. so if you see titanium that is bent, its probably pretty low grade and cheap

Well gotta work with what we have. unfortunately we don't have a 2.5 inch titanium intake with no bends under $1,000 that are long tubes.

First off you sound ridiculous. People like you are the reason tuners and other companies aren’t running to our cars to support them. The other titanium intake option is 2200 bucks. I'm not after the highest gains so dude please don’t consultant me about where my money should go. I wasn’t paying for the gain's of the unit's I’m paying for the fact that they are titanium and that’s what I want period case closed. People are starving in Africa? really but yet again you bought a 370z? The price for these intakes are irrelevant I saved for them I knew these were coming out months a head of time. For those who buy the meisterschaft system purely on sound it’s no different. When you buy titanium you're gonna pay period nobody should be surprised.

AMEN brotha....... At the end of the day you get what you pay for and you do what makes you happy. Being different and unique is a good thing. I bought my Meisterschaft exhaust b/c I loved the sexy arse sound it makes. Yeah I could have gone with something else that was a lot cheaper and squeezed out more hp, but I didn’t and I have no regrets.

I’m curious about the TI CAI though. I would think that the TI CAI would sound a little bit different since they are TI vs. stainless steel. I know that TI exhausts (assuming same exhaust) will sound a bit different compared to a stainless steel exhaust.

Once again mad props on the TI CAI and they look EFFEN clean. I had to look at the pics several more times b/c the look it just purely different. You are the very first person to my knowledge with TI CAI and do not let anyone put you down on your purchase. Remember people are always going to hate and be jealous of what others might have.
