It does do something other intakes don't. It's Ti. Aesthetics are important to some people, and they're willing to pay for it. It could be worse. He could have bought those $2k Top Secret intakes.

He paid $700-$800 over drop ins for a whopping 3 hp if he's lucky and that will only be in part of the powerband he won't be able to feel or will probably ever use. Just wow! Where's the bend over and get rapped icon?? :icon23:

Talk about stimulating the economy. Money makes the world go round.

edub370 07-12-2013 01:26 PM

just find it funny that everyone flips out over an intake that costs $250 more than most others, but when someone buys a full gthaus system (double the price of most others) or a tommy kaira hebi bebi its totally acceptable. kinda ironic don't ya think?

DarkJak 07-12-2013 01:34 PM

Yeah I find it weird that people think the price is high for these. Going from stainless steel to titanium exhaust systems usually results in at least a doubling of prices, and this is still less than double what the GenIII's cost.

Well dumb purchase IMO. Zero power over anyone else and zero weight savings unless an ant needs to carry it around the track. If you cut your hair that's where your weight savings will come from and you'd have $375 left in your pocket.

So your soul purpose in posting in this thread was to inform everyone that this is a bad decision in your eyes.... ? we have all bought $35k, rwd, sports cars, and the INTAKE is the bad life choice in this whole endeavor? :roflpuke2:

clearly we all have.. "special" priorities as it is. an intake is pretty low on the bad decisions list for this site. if that bothers u, i wouldn't advise looking around the members gallery

All right guys lets keep focused on what this is about.

I like them.

Would I spend that much? Probably not

SS_Firehawk 07-12-2013 03:51 PM

I like the intakes. For that much money though, I would assume whoever buys them can afford a tune and I would have made the piping 2.75" all the way through.

frost 07-12-2013 04:16 PM

I'm sure we all purchase things that others might not agree with. I would expect a little more respect from our forum members.

Mr. Q 07-12-2013 05:01 PM

I would have bought these if i wasnt already going FI. I think they look great especially in a monteray blue car. More power to the OP for getting something he wanted for his car.

The system is supposed to be 7 lbs. I think this is less than other CAI's, and those few lbs could be worth it to a lot of people who want to go for minimum weight.

Ok? and you paid a tremendous amount of money for a 370z which is a car!when you can buy a Nissan versa for 15K new.

First off you sound ridiculous. People like you are the reason tuners and other companies aren’t running to our cars to support them. The other titanium intake option is 2200 bucks. I'm not after the highest gains so dude please don’t consultant me about where my money should go. I wasn’t paying for the gain's of the unit's I’m paying for the fact that they are titanium and that’s what I want period case closed. People are starving in Africa? really but yet again you bought a 370z? The price for these intakes are irrelevant I saved for them I knew these were coming out months a head of time. For those who buy the meisterschaft system purely on sound it’s no different. When you buy titanium you're gonna pay period nobody should be surprised.
