K&N Intake Kit: potentially in-progress
I emailed K&N regarding whether they would be making a full intake kit for the 370Z (instead of just the drop in filters). See email correspondence pasted below. I bet they will give it to you for free if you let them design it using your car. I would do it but I am in Northern California and their shop is near LA.
I know their intake systems are usually not the best in terms of power gains and they make few cold air designs. K&N intakes are however, usually constructed pretty well and as far as I know, have come with the CARB sticker for SMOG purposes. Anyone in Southern California interested in letting them test it on your car? The email doesn't specifically mention that you would get a free intake but I'm sure they would at least do that for you if you asked given that you are helping them. EMAIL PASTED BELOW: David, Thank you for your interest in K&N products. At this time, K&N is still looking for 2009 Nissan 370Z’s to complete test fitment. If you live local to K&N, in Riverside, CA. , you can be eligible to have your vehicle at our facility for test-fitting. To see the list of vehicles we are still looking to test, please visit K&N Engineering, Inc. - Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, and other Vehicles Needed . Once we have tested enough vehicles at our facility to ensure a proper fit, we will begin production. The best estimate for when a kit will be available, would be 2-3 months. If you would like to receive notification once a kit is available, please visit Suggest a K&N Product for your Vehicle to input your name, e-mail address, and select which product you would like to receive notification for. Once that product is available, you will receive an e-mail stating the new part number. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our customer support team toll free at 800-858-3333. Thank you and have a great day. Paul Powell Customer Account Manager K&N Engineering Inc.
