BJ has a Nismo (I think '09). It's the test car for the Doran headers that are being developed. Guessing it's in the shop for the development at the moment.
Kind of jealous.

Yes it's under the welder.
Dropped it off for the fabrication and tooling of the headers and new style test pipes. Once it is finished it goes back to the dyno for testing... But in theory ..they should all work really well. I'm excited but like my ole buddy Tom says: "the waaaaaaa aaaait ing is the haaaaaaaaar dest part" |

Just a quick update to keep things alive.
Most likely picking up my car this weekend. The headers are not completed yet are awaiting more material /bends. Once the car gets back... Most likely will have some new test pipes to try out... Which are also unlike anything on the market. I hope to go to the dyno and try out some other parts new prototype development parts as well. Stay tuned. |

These new style test pipes have me intrigued.

vband are awesome but they are quite more expensive than regular flange....
Since I made my custom exhaust I learned that vband is a must for quick disassembly and perfect alignment. |

I didn't think they were bad. I looked forever (can't remember now, been to long) and what I came up with is 2 two bolt flanges plus the gasket was very close in price to a vband if not more. Only issue I had was the vbands I found for like $20 each was the ends were 409ss not 304ss, the clamp was 304ss though. The 2 bolt style were 304ss. 409ss works great and will last like 10+ years but just not forever like 304ss will. Vibrant I believe had one but we're talking $70-80 each. $50-60 more isn't worth it when 409ss should be good.
