Any pictures or dyno charts, not just numbers?

NewYorkJon34 07-29-2009 06:55 PM

Didn't the stillen G3 intakes make more power?

Based on Stillen's results, yes, but the only way to know if they truly made more power is to compare them back to back on the same dyno on the same day.

nogoodname 07-29-2009 07:53 PM

Stillen made more power for the G37 coupe than Injen did

I saw an Injen intake today on a G.....not so great

Saw one also at a show this past weekend, it did not go to the front bumper like the Stillen but this is a "CAI" so maybe it will be different for the Z?

nogoodname 07-29-2009 08:02 PM

it is a CAI, it goes pretty far down there in the engine bay

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...E/DSC01262.jpg

it only makes noise, not much even....my G sounded even louder...lol
i sport a rotting muffler that sounds aggressive..lol

not to mention, the windsheild washer fluid tank has to be changed to the tiny red one

the guy doesnt even like it....but he got it used and cheap price, so can't complain

Why is it not so great? It seems to be a PERFECT alt to the Stillen to me...

nogoodname 07-30-2009 08:59 AM

^ wait til u see a dyno. This intake costs the same as stillen and has like no power gain at all.

NIZMOZ 07-30-2009 09:21 AM

The Injen intakes gain a lot on the 350z HR. They should gain just as good as the Stillen with IMHO better quality control over the Stillens.

The Stillen requires you to cut your holes bigger in the radiator support while the Injen doesn't.

Here are my pics.

i like how they placed the rubber sleeves. Good measure!

Endgame 07-30-2009 09:47 AM

Well, I am VERY curious to see what they do on the 370 dyno wise.. I certainly belv NizmoZ, but obviously nogoodname has seen dynos.

Here's to hoping it does something!!! I guess I do not understand why it would not make power; it is a VERY similar design to the Stillen - at least on the 350..

Nizmoz- Do you have to remove the bumper to install?

shumby 07-30-2009 09:51 AM

R2C intake for the win. you should see if they are making one for the Z
