Necking down to a single via a Y pipe is not the same as an H pipe (two pipes with a cross-flow pipe for equalization) or a conservative X pipe design like Fast Intentions or Berk/Invidia. That said, the Magnaflow solution does reduce total system flow to basically one pipe diameter since the paths actually cross, but even then I don't believe the flow would be as restricted as being reduced to a single cohesive stream. I still wouldn't pick this design for those reasons though. At any rate, go with what you like, most people don't really dyno test parts or care if they're a few WHP one way or the other, and why should they? Go with what looks or sounds better to you, that's what really matters. I just like to talk tech, about pretty much everything. |
