" Nissan 370Z NISMO 09-12 Stock Upgrade Axleback Exhaust With Bevel Edge Tips"

I want to replace the stock muffler on my wife's new 370, oem set up is a little weak and quiet for such a nice sports car,,,,
Would like to get an Nismo oem exhaust system or a different muffler to give it a lilttle more sound, but i dont want to go crazy on the budget....which is around $400-500, Im in New Mexico if someone is selling one that might work for the Z Let me know...:happydance:
Dont want to pull trigger on Ebay muffler if its quality sucks...Thanks in advance for any input or help regarding this post....have a great day...:happydance:

I would stay away from eBay junk!
And now that that's out of the way, I would save up a little more and get an actual exhaust I have the Fast Intentions CBE and I love it

Or if you are wanting to go really cheap... Just do the washer mod. That's what I did until I had the cash for the exhaust.

AAM short tails? Sound amazing and only cost $300-400.

Actually I think Randy "370ZRR" (370Z designer) got that axel-back exhaust on his car. He did it cuz it is a corporate Nissan car and he didn't want the hassle of switching a CBE back to stock. I've heard and seen it and it's not bad. The tips do stick out a bit tho.

how loud is it with this pipes, annoying? cool rumble? is it better than washer mod?

Quality is meh. Sometimes you get lucky. others don't. Fitment is decent and sound is good. Metal seems a little thin so a couples years down the road could be having issues with it. Plenty of guys runnj g the Top Speed exhaust though. Many are happy with it but build quality just needs to take a couple steps up.

so if You guys had to pick, an oem Nismo exhaust, short pipes or EBay Top Speed Pro-1.. mufflers only all around the same budget??..$350-500..

I can actually say that I have heard the top speed axleback on a g37.

It sounds alright...Much better then stock exhaust with nice looking cans. However quality I cannot attest for.

The better option is aam short tails. Quality muffler deletes, with beautiful tips. Great sound.

Aam short tails buddy. They're sweet!

DEpointfive0 06-06-2013 10:51 PM

AAM short tails are overpriced IMO, a muffler shop would make the same for $100

Washer mod is 90% as effective, OP, do that until you can afford a quality CBE

Many people on here with TS exhausts. Metal is metal guys!!!! You can't make 304SS any other way than 304SS. It's just freaking pipe. FI uses Vibrant 304SS resonators that are also probably made in China like everyone else's material. If people say TS resonators have blown out then buy a TS exhaust that has none and add a Vibrant and you're hundreds and hundreds less than these so called amazing top brands you speak of. If fitment is an issue or if a weld breaks down the road, how in the hell do you guys have performace cars and don't know about 20 people who tig weld??!! Hell its an exhaust under the damn car. Who cares what it looks like?! Go spend $5 on a stainless steel 2lbs roll of mig wire at any store, give it to a muffler shop for free and have them install it in their mig welder and weld that bitch rock solid. This isn't brain surgery, I'd know, I see surgery all day long. Even if a shop doesn't have a mandral bender, a slight normal bend or adjustment in a pipe will not change the overall diameter in that section much to even lose 0.01hp. Since most exhausts are made in China or Taiwan at least they use 304SS and I can verify that. Magnaflow uses 409SS in almost everything which will rust out in about 10 years of harsh winters like Ohio. Who here has a car longer than 10 years and needs to worry about that?? But again the eBay stuff isn't 409SS, its 304SS which will out last the car.

PS, TS sells on eBay along with their store in Texas. It only helps sales and doesn't mean its junk.

Dont listen to all the brand whores here. You are out of your mind if you spend 1k+ on an exhaust....its just metal piping, like he said. I went with TS with the resonator and its great. No drone, nice sound on throttle, quiet off. Fits was spot on. (minus adding washer to center bracket.)
If an axelback makes you happy go for it.

Some of us prefer high quality parts. My car is my daily driver. It has to function properly. Buy crap and you get crap results. Buy quality and you get quality results. Add in things like warranties and it becomes an even better deal.

How can you have a sports car and not put quality parts on it? Oh and not everybody knows people who weld.
