Cheap intake.
What would be a good way to go about installing an intake without spending more than like 190$? I'm in the process of closing on my house so I can't spend too much, but I would like to put a little bit into my car too. Any ideas?

Or you can just get the K&N drop-ins to save more money and the truble to install the tubes. Even with the K&N drop-ins alone will give you some gains and you will feel it. |

Yes best to save for a real intake, i'm pretty sure in time you will want to re-upgrade ur intake system and spend additional money.

The way I see it, post maf tubes and K&N's are an easy sell if you are chasing for more power. It's cheap, effective and an easy 8-10whp. CAI gains over this setup are at the top of the rev range. Though I have noticed that AEM's give a bit more than others under 6500rpm too. Most likely from their ETI technology

For those members telling you to wait for a nicer intake, you will see almost the same gains with the drop ins and maf tubes.
Stillen G3 =$500+ for 18whp K&Ns + Maf Tubes= $180 for 12-15whp You do the math. Sure CAI looks nice, but "if moneys tight, do whats right." |
i got the k&n typhoon intakes for under $300.
Brand new, check it out on Amazon. |

Depends on if you care what your engine bay looks like. The sound'll be a different as well (drop ins vs CAI)
