This isn't about absolutes. We are suggesting that post maf tubes and drop in's are proven to make good power and are cheap. Thread did say Cheap Intakes. There are short ram intakes that are inexpensive but I would personally run the aforementioned than SRI's. If the OP has enough, there are an assortment of CAI's at multiple price points to look at, but those are over $400, or twice the price of what was recommended as the best bang for buck.

^THIS

OP, I personally am going with MAF Tubes and drop-ins because the factory system is already a CAI, plus they are the cheapest to install, provide good gains(from what i read its close to 14whp), and are easy to sell if you decide to go FI down the road

Worked for me too. I know I won't see much for this and I know there are better out there, but the price was right and it doesn't look as boring now.

Can someone PM me where they purchased their K&N drop in filters? The price says a MSRP of $60+ for some websites and I'm not even sure if it includes both filters.

That price is only for 1 filter. Keep an eye out in the classifieds here, I scored both the tubes & filters for $120 ( Different sellers).

You do the math. Sure CAI looks nice, but "if moneys tight, do whats right."
Plus with the MAF, your bumper doesn't come off!
