Z1 Motorsports VQ Performance Headers

Its very funny that Z1 are trying to sell their Momentum Copys with the true Momentum pictures.
They even show both model (the true momentum and copys)
They are far from to be identical

On the Z1 header they show both side header . The first part that jumped in my eyes are the inegal lenght of both collector. Then a cheated bent on the one of the runner that isnt as smooth as the true Momentum .

They also show the inside picture of a collector on their website that lead to pretent its the Z1 copy which in fact are the true Momentum.

I did said after they mentionned they would make copys of them and I stated that I doubt they would match the momentum quality .. it seem like I was right afterall

Im quite dissapointed by both collector not being the same lengh by about almost an inch which is enormous in a collector design. So the price given is justified in my opinion.

I cant wait to see some real pictures taken by our 370z members to show the real product.

Edit; btw im not bashing Z1 .. im just sharing my opinion with everybody.
So anyway since the true momentum are gone . Those header should be the top choice unless someone sell their momentum hehhe

You guys are funny. If the original Momentums where still available with the same flange you would be buying them up.

I agree, but Z1 not putting the new flange is just a way for them to make more money...
Yes I know that it's "more universal", but those 2 DE engine owners could buy HR TPs or HFCs and make it work too...

So in this instance, I feel shafted by Z1, also... No one has done a side by side on the same car to prove that these are any better than LTHs

Highly unlikely this will ever happen short of Z1 doing it themselves considering the cost of two sets of headers, 1 set of TP's, 16 hours of labor, and 2 trips to the dyno.

I think it's lame they didn't make a 370 version and 350 version. Hopefully they'll make good power but I'd recommend anyone who is on the fence call speed force racing and talk to him about his headers...I sure love mine.

Looking at this thread with pictures of the real momentum headers it looks like the merge collectors are different lengths as well. The welds also look a bit different.

Im am sure you know more about this than me so maybe you can chime in.

Regardless, I am looking for some gains with these Z1s before I pull the trigger.

There is ZERO reason to have made this for the DE motor besides fùcking the customer.
These headers do NOTHING on the DE motor, they were designed to minimize spool up time on the Momentum turbo kit, and without the turbo kit, no advantage...

Z1, change the flange

So......All these accusations of people saying this and that.....I know the collectors don't match, I know it looks like Z1 cheaped out on the bend and blah blah blah. So I researched some stuff. Momentum's headers aren't equal length collectors either. The bend on the driver side is just like Momentums....How do i know? I took pics of MY MOMENTUM headers before I installed them.

You can clearly see they are the same design and built identical. I guess next accusation is mine are fake?

DEpointfive0 05-29-2013 12:37 AM

^I agree with Chris, the length thing is people not knowing how to GOOGLE something...

Still hate the flange

Wonka2581 05-29-2013 12:40 AM

You know what kinda bugs me....

The fact that Z1 has not jumped in on the discussion..:shakes head:

Geez go sell one of the families oil fields and buy the damn test pipes......sheesh lol. You're spending $850 on headers without install. I think you can spring the extra $150. For those that want ART pipes, there's always a butt ton for sale on the the 350 and g35 forums that you could actually probably make profit off of it.
