Default Setup and catalitic converter question???

Ok first I couldn't find this answer and frankly never read or heard anyone say anything about it ever so I'm asking now.

I like fast intentions stuff because of the quality of non restricted flow they have when they sand down the welds on the inside!! Big plus to me. But their stuff is expensive. To keep down on the cost I decided to go with their resonated test pipes. Also I'm all about weight and power so no HFC's for me even if they were the same price.

Now I don't think Top Speeds quality on the inside will be the same but because they're so cheap and people here like them and they fit good and have good power I'm going with the single 70mm CBE with a 12" resonator in the mid section and the 8" resonator in the middle above the two mufflers in the back. Plus their Y pipe too.

So ill have two resonators in the TP's, one in the mid pipe and one coming off the split for the mufflers. I have a feeling this might still be really loud so time for my question!!

Where can you install a catalitic converter???? I assume since most are installed at the motor they need heat to work! But I don't care if they "work." I care that if I want to install just 1 down the road to cut down on loudness and cost ill just add a 70mm 100-200-300 cell cat in the mid pipe like before or after the mid pipes 12" resonator.

What do you all think?

IF you do it, I would cut out the resonator on the mid pipe and weld one in there. I've heard that setup in person and both forms of the top speed exhaust are loud when paired with test pipes. One of the guys on this site use to work for them and I actually used to live down the street from their shop.

Can I ask why they have like 3-4 CBE's? I said I want light weigh so I assume don't get the true duals? And for rasp and noise get the one that I showed with the extra rear resonator?

Good idea though, its the straitest section and keeps weight down.

The one you posted was the original setup. They were revised off that one and the true dual in theory should flow better. There aren't any actual dyno's and most people that have purchased haven't dyno'd. Rasp isn't bad with any of their setups and with resonated test pipes and the possibility of adding a HFC down the road, the rasp will not even be noticeable.

I don't, just when those resonators blow out and the bítch starts to rattle... I'm gonna sit with here with my too heavy, sexxxxxy sounding Stillen and LMAO!

I have seen/heard 2 TS's, one is the person Chris is talking about, his rattled due to "it touching something" while me and someone else also heard a blown raspy resonator and the other sounded... Good, but on decel... Something wasn't right...

If you want cheap and quality, buy Megan, I have owned one and DAMN it's made well, oh, and for all the haters, it's THE EXACT same exhaust as Agency Power, literally made in the same factory same parts, with different tips

I have no idea what you're talking about. I know what a cat is and what I test pipe is.

Well if I remove the mid pipe resonator and add a cat if the cars to loud then that's 1 resonator I don't have to worry about. That only leaves the one on top of the mufflers which I can replace or remove anytime so it won't be rattling.

I've built my own using universal stuff before so breaking and needing fixed is fine with me. I normally make my own stuff but unless I have my guy CnC a bunch of flanges and then sell them its just easier and cheaper to buy TS for $450 shipped.

Your OP is retarded then. Reread what you wrote. I shouldn't even help your rude @ss. Buy the Lightspeed resonated Y pipe or again the Motordyne Y pipe, but get the resonator.

For your understanding:
Cat= catalytic converter
HFC= high flow catalytic converter
my original MD Y pipe and HFC recommendation= 3" 200 cell high flow cat.

a cat and HFC do the same exact thing, but one flows better than the other.
