Test pipes smell like death and are way louder than HFCs

I read on another thread that the motordyne art pipes were more quiet than HFC's. Would the correct tune not help the smell a little? Are the hp gains worth the smell or shoud I just do HFC and smell good? Lol....

It isn't that bad haha. I smell the test pipes mainly when I come to a stop with the windows down. I just make sure the windows are up and A/C is on recirc when my girlfriend is in the car even though she pretends the smell doesn't bother her.

On my particular setup, the ART pipes are actually a bit quieter than the Berk HFCs (200 cell) I had on previously. I believe FIs cats are 300 cell so they may be quieter. I think the sound really depends which particular exhaust components you have and how they cooperate with each other.

Edit:
My bad! I read your OP too fast. I would think any resonated HFC should be quieter than ART pipes.

I don't smell anything with my HFC, bike cops here in Vegas haven't bothered me either.
